Do You Watch the Superbowl?

I'm sitting here wondering if I'm the only one in America oblivious to the superbowl. I didn't even realize it was this weekend until I saw the grocery store specials. Sad isn't it?

We are not a TV watching family to start with let alone watching televised sporting events featuring people we don't know. I'm not opposed to going and watching a game of some kind, but normally it's because someone we know is playing.

I really don't get how involved people seem to get in these things. Sorry if this is your thing, but I don't get it.

Oh and for those of you that say you watch it just for the commercials, why? Commercials are the bane of TV shows and the reason that I will only watch a TV show once it's on DVD.

I did enjoy the sales though at the store and stocked up on some really great snack sales.

Are you watching the game today?

  1. I'm sitting right beside you. Don't care about the game or the commercials. I'll watch them when they get posted online after the game. We are not sports fanatics and rarely watch TV at all. Don't own a DVR or Tivo either. I used to watch NBA Basketball when I lived in Orlando and had access to all the Orlando Magic games. But have not watched any since moving to KY. Love the snack deals at the store though ! Who's playing anyway :)

  3. YEP, we are watching, sort of. I'm also multi-tasking and trying to catch up on here while Hubby is reading through his 1345675 farming papers and magazines!

  4. My husband and I are football fans and we watch the Super Bowl each year but if my team isn't playing I don't get into it all that much. I also love the great deals at the grocery store. I just found your blog. I really like it and look forward to reading more of your posts.
